Lindex is really a freely available tool and, sure, not only professional translators are able to use it - anyone interested in Chinese, English or Russian is free to use it for, virtually, any purpose.
As a matter of fact, we tried to give a user another option to start working with the tool, twins of which may be found all over the Internet. That's the main purpose we designed it and put online.
Of course, one may talk endlessly on "they have..." like topics, but I'd like to make a stop next to Lindex and to mention just one feature of Lindex (honestly, not seen often on the Web) - one with embedded fonts for Chinese, both Simplified and Traditional, and Cyrillic fonts, i.e. Russian in our case; and another, liter version, containing no embedded fonts.
It does not make Lindex an outstanding tool, but provides more cross-platform capabilites as you understand.
In most cases a user is able to manage his or her OS environment to have a language support, but "shit happens" and it's quite possible not to have one at hand.
Anyone is free to see and judge, and, sure, we will read all the comments on Lindex here and leave them without no comments.
